From last night, a mixed bag for sure. A spirited disintegration here and there but on the whole, they pulled it off. Rehearsing in public might well catch on...

First up, Lord Rochester... and you'll recognise the other guys. Apparently they're staying in the UK to make a new album after this series of shows. Those Cluny shows in Newcastle next week should be a hoot.

not long back from Inverness and well worth the trip. The sound in the ironworks was brilliant, crystal clear, nice big high stage but not a huge room. I'd definately go back there again for something like this. No support. The band was much more relaxed in the playing sense, not quite so much checking out where sylvain was going with the chords. Frank managed to fuck up jet boy by coming in too quick after the stops, but its the new york dolls, its part of what makes it so exciting to watch. Steve Contes a good guitarist, but I get the feeling that he's a "musician", he can play anything, whereas infante has a style which fits in with the dolls better. Plus he reminds me of Buster Keaton and you dont see enough bands with Buster Keaton in them ....

Someone outside was saying "That really was like a religious experience"
