Whilst looking for stuff a wee while ago, I found this. Never found what I set out to, but this confirms my whereabouts on the evening of July 4th 1976.

As for me, I was listening to the sound of Phantom F4 jets on the near-by U.S. airforce base, celebrating the bicentennial. It would be another six months before I saw the Pistols on TV and my interest in jet fighters started to fade...

What's the red print on the back, that's bleeding thru a bit?

It's on the back of a Kokomo flyer for the Round'ouse later that month. Some call it "proof", others call it "clutter". It's a piece of (my) history...

wow, Lindsay, the one gig in the history of the world I would have given anything to see!

So many legends surrounding that show.

Regards from someone who has not seen you since about 1985 - but I remember very well staying at your Greenock house.

I've still got a few Slow Dazzles in a box somewhere also!!

A group of us drove up from Devon in a clapped out mini primarily for the Groovies though having bought The Ramones on import we knew something was up. Who'd have thought that we were about to witness rock history. God it was a sauna in there. Thirty years ago......
