As I tap away here, The London Astoria will soon be reverberating to a capacity throng getting their jollies to the strains of The Cramps. It's their 30th anniversary in November (!) Those of us who couldn't make it are sitting tight, waiting for the cyber-telegraph and in particular - YouTube to deliver us some (un)edited idea as to how it all went.

Forget all that shit about Snakes on planes. Surely all the added security means that you could never get the blighters on innit? You should concern yourselves more with regard to Nomads on a boat! Taking place this coming Thursday. Wish i wiz there!...

The Cramps were awesome last night in London and played lots of 60s garage faves including "Primitive", "Hanky Panky", "Psychotic Reaction" and "Hang Up". The originals were a mix of oldies like "TV Set" and more recent fair such as "Papa Satan Sang Louie". Lux was wearing a black long sleeved top with the collar turned-up and a chain belt around his waist. As for Ivy, she still has the sexiest pair of legs in RnR and she ain't band on that geetar either. Despite 30 years in the "music biz" this band still know a thing or ten about basic gut-feeling rockin' music. Talk about experiencing a perfect lesson in how to keep the music stripped-down and vibrant. Catch 'em while you can.
