CD Universe is offering the MC 5 - A True Testimonial DVD at $11.89 a pop and claims a street date for Dec 31 (?!).

http://www.play.com have got the new 6 cd compilation "Purity Accuracy" for only 26 quid including delivery, picked up my copy today, sound quality ranges from great to good, its like a compilation of some of the Total Energy releases plus more (from what I can make out), nice packaging, sleevenotes by the lovely Nina Antonia and its all official
Passed on touchin' it yet, but it seems like a good deal from what people told me so far. As much as I respect Greg Shaw's Bomp label and it's offshoots, the complete mess they've made of their barrel scrapin' 5 'n Stooges archive releases just plain sucks (only a notch above the even worse releases on Revenge in the 80s). Sure, there's some great material on those discs, but with a little more thought added to the procces, they could have put out some truely stellar selections. So anybody out there doin' it better gets my vote.
