Destination: Magnetic Field! Tomorrow (Saturday!)

The Fleshtones & The Star Spangles

8pm - $10

@ MAGNETIC FIELD, 97 ATLANTIC AVE., BROOKLYN, NY

2/3 (Clark St. stop)
4/5 (Borough Hall stop)
M/R (Court Street stop)
F/A/C (Jay Street-Borough Hall stop)
F/G (Bergen stop)
From any of those you can walk down to Henry Street (on Montague, Joralemon, Bergen, whatever) and over, or find your way to Atlantic and down (you'll want to head west toward the river, away from Downtown Brooklyn and towards Manhattan). It's approximately six blocks from any of these stops (give or take a block or two).

... and whilst we're on the subject of Super Rock, some news about SWEAT

Hey Lindsay,
Once we were speaking about the amount of people going to shows (100 000 taxpayers for U2, 20 happy fews for DDR ...).
In the same idea. The Flestones are playing at home (NY) at the Magnetic Field which only can hold something like 100 persons.
What do you think of that, Ben too ?

I think that it's possible to sustain some kind of living playing to 100 but not to 20. Never in all my years (and as you know kids that's a loooong time) will I understand why idiots pay top dollar to stand in a stadium and watch little tiny money vacuums hoover up their cash. It's all about commitment. The Fleshtones and The Star Spangles on one bill, now that's something to shout about having seen.
